SuperH is an embedded RISC developed for high cost-performance, miniaturization, and performance per unit of power consumption (MIPS/W). We are developing CPU cores for a wide range of applications and functions and have many products available. Our product lines include a series with the SH-2 as the CPU core and on-chip large-capacity flash memory and peripheral functions such as timer, serial I/O, and AD converter, and a series with the SH-3 or SH-4 as the CPU core, which achieves high-speed data processing and is equipped with cache and MMU. Additionally, there is lineup of series with the SH2-DSP or SH3-DSP as the CPU core, which have full DSP functions and an emphasis on multimedia and communications processing. Currently available products also have lots of features, such as low power modes, low power consumption, and small size. Various versatile operating systems and development tools have been improved, allowing for more efficient development.

- SuperH microcomputers incorporate timer units that generate three-phase PWM waveforms with deadtime and 12-bit A/D converter, which make them ideal for inverter control. They are used in various applications, including industrial equipment such as AC servos and inverter white goods such as air conditioners.
- SuperH microcomputers with on-chip USB make it easy to build embedded devices that communicate with PCs and devices that have USB interfaces.
The SH72Ax Series single-chip microcontrollers and microprocessors incorporate built-in functions suitable for motor control such as a 12-bit A/D converter, an R/D converter, and a three-phase PWM output timer; communication functions such as CAN, LIN, and other serial interfaces with chip select/buffer; and a 32-bit RISC SH2A-FPU core.

The SH7250 Series has an SH-2A CPU core with FPU which is upward-compatible with SH-2E and is suitable for automotive, industrial equipment, medical equipment, and other applications.
The SH7450 is a series of 32-bit microcontrollers which incorporate the SH-4A, the high-end CPU core in the SuperH Family. This series incorporates large capacity flash memory and SRAM, making it suitable for automotive active safety such as driver-assist systems.
The SH7239 Series incorporates an SH2A core that includes an FPU (Floating-Point Unit). SH2A core is fully upwardly-compatible with SH-1 and SH2. The SH7239 Series incorporates 512 KB of large capacity flash memory and RAM. The SH7239 Series also incorporates peripheral functions such as a powerful 16-bit timer suitable for inverter control, a high-precision 12-bit A/D converter and CAN (Controller Area Network) compatible interface.
The SH7231 Series incorporates an SH-2A core that includes an FPU (Floating-Point Unit). The SH7231 Series operates at a maximum frequency of 100 MHz. SH7231 Series incorporates max. 1 MB flash memory and 44 KB RAM. SH7231 Series also incorporates peripheral functions such as a powerful 16-bit timer suitable for inverter control, a high-precision 10-bit A/D converter, CAN (Controller Area Network) and key scan controller. The SH7231 supports the deep-software-standby-mode as power management control.
The SH7137 Series incorporates a 32-bit RISC SH-2 core. The SH7137 Series operates at a maximum frequency of 80 MHz, representing a 1.6-fold improvement in performance over the 50 MHz of Renesas Electronics's current SH7047 Series. The SH7216 Series with 32-bit SH-2A CPU core offers a maximum operating frequency of 200 MHz, representing a 1.25-fold improvement in performance over the 160 MHz of Renesas Technology's existing SH7211 Series. They also include large-capacity high-speed flash memory and RAM through the use of cutting-edge flash memory technology.

The SH7147 series is a 32-bit RISC single-chip microcomputer, incorporating a 16-bit timer suitable for inverter control, a high-precision 12-bit A/D converter and an interface channel compatible with the CAN in-vehicle LAN specification.
The SH7243 Series incorporates an SH-2A CPU core which is fully upwardly-compatible with the SH-1 and SH-2. The SH-2A CPU core employs a superscalar architecture enabling simultaneous execution of two instructions, a significant increase in performance compared with the SH-1 and SH-2. The SH7243 series also incorporates a 3 channel serial interface, a powerful 16-bit timer suitable for inverter control and a high-precision 12-bit A/D converter
The SH7260 Series is ideal for use in car audio, home audio, and other digital audio systems. This series incorporates a SH2A-FPU CPU core, which enables audio compression/expansion processing. A CD-ROM decoder and other peripheral functions suitable for audio devices are included.
The SH7080 Series feature SH-2 core microcontrollers with on-chip high performance flash memory. The on-chip flash memory allows for high speed operation known as single cycle access at 80 MHz. There are packages of 100 pins, 112 pins, 144 pins, and 176 pins in the lineup.
The SH7606 Series are high-end microcontrollers which offer excellent cost performance. The SH7606 Series incorporates a ROM-less SH-2 core equipped with cache memory. The SH7606 Series is also equipped with peripheral IOs such as serial and bus state controllers which can connect directly to PC cards, burst ROM and SDRAM, etc.
The SH7146 Series incorporates an SH-2 32-bit RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) CPU core, and offers a maximum operating frequency of 80 MHz, representing a 1.6-fold improvement in performance over the 50 MHz of Renesas Electronics’s current SH7046 Series. Featuring an on-chip power supply step-down circuit, these microcontrollers are designed to achieve lower current dissipation by suppressing the increase in current dissipation associated with higher speed, and attain 5 V single-power-supply operation while at a high 80 MHz operating frequency.
The SH/Tiny Series incorporates a high-performance 32-bit RISC SH-2 core and various peripherals in a low-pin-count small package.
Equipped with peripheral modules suited for inverter control such as A/D converters and two systems of motor control timers. 5V single power source operation due to the on-chip regulator. Very suitable for white goods that use motors.
