Alarm Control Panel

Overview

Alarm control panels control monitoring and warning systems. There are a variety of products for detecting and warning about situations such as electricity leakage, fire, or disaster.

Although the most basic method of transmitting a warning is to use a blinking LED or a buzzer, in recent years products that send a warning e-mail to a mobile phone, or provide online monitoring on a Web site, or even record the number of warnings and the date and time they were lifted, have appeared in the market.

An alarm control panel may use PLC or wireless communication to connect to individual detecting devices. To meet these requirements, Renesas offers the M16C/6S with a built-in PLC modem (YITRAN IT800) that has excellent communication capabilities even in noisy environments.

Also available are the RJK1028DSP MOSFET for functions such as power failure detection and DC power switching, which, when used with a microcontroller's built-in voltage detection circuit, greatly simplifies the power switching circuit.
