Overview

The bread-baking machine is a home appliance that was born in response to the desire eat freshly baked bread at home. The making of the dough, leavening, baking, and other processes are all automated by the bread-baking machine, so anyone can easily make authentic fresh-baked bread simply by throwing in ingredients.

Recently, multifunctional machines that can make dough for noodles such as pasta and udon, have a steaming function for making steamed bread, mochi (rice cake), cake, bean paste, and jam, or can ferment yogurt, are also appearing in the market. Demand is growing due to increasing preferences for homemade food to avoid additives or to meet allergy requirements.

Renesas offers the R8C/Lx Series and the 78K0/Lx3 Series with built-in LCD driver and A/D converter for sensor input as control MCUs for such multifunctional bread-baking machines.
